The cornerstone to who I am as a New Yorker is that I moved here the day after I graduated from high school. I was 17. I became an adult navigating the central question of, "Where do I live?" and "How can I afford it?"
Even for native New Yorkers, settling the question of "Where do I live" is a fluid one. Neighborhoods change. So too, the identity of those who live there. Identifying yourself as someone who lives in "the right neighborhood" is a slippery slope. Hot one day, tourist trap the next.
As I graduated from the Pratt Institute, I had focused my search for a home in Brooklyn Heights, a romantic New York village within great Gotham. Quiet. Manageable. Fresh breezes off the harbor. Historic district. In the 30+ years I've called Brooklyn Heights my home, much change has rolled through Brooklyn in waves. Today, Brownstone Brooklyn is rapidly changing into a new and exciting hub in the New York identity. BAM. DUMBO. Brooklyn Bridge Park. MetroTech. Brains, creativity and grand vision are focusing in a blossoming core area. The vitality that has always defined this great city has jumped from Manhattan's gritty, dense glamour, to the wide open skies of downtown Brooklyn.

Recently I decided to move from Los Angeles to the big bad city, also known as New York. That alone is a traumatic transition, nonetheless I did not have a lot of knowledge of New York real estate. And then came Craig.
Not only did he emotionally comfort me with the stressful process, but you can just tell he loves what he does. And that he's good at it.
Craig had the difficult job of communicating with both me and my adorable and loving (also known as "we want whats best for you") parents. (Talk about a tough job!) And trust me, he did a truly commendable job of making sure both parties were happy.
Craig is extremely professional, polite, personal, patient, passionate, positive, and whole bunch of other P adjectives (only the good ones though).
So whatever my opinion may be worth, as a highly emotional, easily stressed, and slightly dramatic person- I sincerely recommend Craig.

My 22 year old daughter is moving to Brooklyn from Los Angeles. She worked with Craig in person while her Mother and I worked from New Mexico with him via phone and skyp. We feel like we know Craig personally and we hope to meet him on our next trip to New York. He is thorough, an encyclopedia of information, kind, understanding and worked with our daughter as if she was his. He took her lofty wish list, show her 15 apartments, and found the one that we all feel in love with. He negotiated a good deal with the landlord to make it affordable as well.
